Tasmania has an abundance of wildlife that, amazingly, can be seen 5 minutes out of Hobarts harbour.
Tasmania is home to an amazing array of wildlife and we are incredibly priviledged to have the opportunity to experience it virtually on our doorstep.
The River Derwent and d'Entrecasteaux Channel are clean and hospitable habitats for all types of aquatic life, and it is not uncommon to spot a pod of dolphins, a sunbathing seal or even migrating whales on the journey down to Peppermint Bay. The Alum Cliffs on Taroona's coast are home to rare sea eagles, and if we drop our underwater camera over the side at Tinderbox we can observe; crayfish, squid, and a host of fish species amognst the colourful sea gardens.
